Assorted Hitler Youth photographs

Photographs 1 and 2 came from the same collection.  While these two photographs appear to be HJ, I cannot tell for certain.  The flag is unusual.  It is possible that the photographs depict the equivalent of the HJ in another country controlled by Germany at that time.

Running with daggers drawn . . .

Three HJ in schwartze uniforms.  (They could also be DJ, or Deutchejungvolk)  All three race towards the camera with their knives drawn.  Ceremonial knives were a common part of most German uniforms.  The Hitler Youth were no exception.  Often, the blades of their knives would bear the words "Blut Und Ehre" ("Blood and Honor").

In schwartze uniform

This is a small photograph, but it packs a wallop.  This is a truly beautiful portrait, and in many ways exudes the power and confidence the Hitler Youth was to inspire in its members.

The back of the photograph states that they are all dead.
